Olympic View Community Foundation (OVCF) is pleased to announce the availability of grants through the Peninsula Home Fund, a vital resource dedicated to supporting individuals and families in Clallam and Jefferson counties facing unexpected hardships.
Since its establishment in 1989 by the Peninsula Daily News, the Peninsula Home Fund has raised over $4.93 million to provide a “hand up, not a handout” to those in need. This year, OVCF is seeking proposals from nonprofit organizations with established service programs to distribute these funds effectively and make a meaningful impact in the community.
“The Peninsula Home Fund exemplifies the compassion and resilience of our community,” said Jessica Elliott, Executive Director of OVCF “By partnering with local nonprofits, we can ensure that these resources reach individuals and families who need them most, empowering them to overcome challenges and regain stability.”
Nonprofits serving Clallam and Jefferson counties are encouraged to apply if their programs address transportation costs, work-related expenses, housing assistance, basic necessities, or urgent healthcare needs.
The Request for Proposals (RFP) and application guidelines are available on the OVCF website at https://ov-cf.org/phf-grantmaking/. Applications must be submitted via email to grants@ov-cf.org by midnight on May 31, 2025. Grant awards will be announced on July 3, 2025, and selected organizations will distribute funds through their programs to directly support community members in need. Selected organizations will be required to submit grant reports in the fall.
